How Sunday House Came to Be

Sunday House grew out of nearly two decades of working closely with families and learning firsthand what it takes to keep a busy household moving.

I spent 17 years with one family, starting when their oldest child was just a year and a half old. As the kids grew, my role grew with them. Over time, I moved beyond traditional nanny responsibilities and became much more involved in the day-to-day management of the home — handling meal prep, grocery shopping, laundry, errands, scheduling, and the countless little things that need to get done behind the scenes.

In 2017, I started Life Organized, a professional organizing business that I ran alongside my work with families. After a major life change in 2023, I began thinking differently about what I wanted my work and business to look like. Household management felt like a natural next step. It brought together the parts of my work I had always enjoyed most: restoring order, solving problems, anticipating what needs to happen next, and building long-term relationships with the people I work with.

In 2024, I began taking on household management clients, many of whom we still work with today. What started with me has grown into a small team, and Sunday House continues to grow through the relationships we build with the families we serve.

The name Sunday House came from my own Sunday routine. Sundays are when I reset my home for the week ahead — meal prep, laundry, tidying, getting things back in place. It’s that feeling of starting the week a little more prepared and with fewer things hanging over your head. That’s the feeling I want Sunday House to help create for our clients, whether we’re handling groceries, laundry, meals, errands, or simply the things they no longer want to have to think about.

For me, this work is very personal. We’re being invited into someone’s home and becoming part of their everyday life. I want Sunday House to stay local, relationship-driven, and dependable as we grow — a team our clients know, trust, and feel comfortable having in their homes.
